Welcome Campers!
Nice to see you made it here in one piece…well, at least most of you anyway. And you there, on the left-could you do something about the oozing? Thank you.
Now then, here we are with one of the biggest issues yet. 15 columns with each sure to be of interest. We have book and movie reviews, and a one on one interview with Stephanie Simpson-Woods, one of the freshest voices in the field today, author of the best selling I.M. Internet Message, and contributor to Midwest Book Review, as well as gracing the pages here at Camp Horror as our resident book reviewer.
Let us not forget the comics section and the coloring contest we are running to win one of two signed copies of Killing Faith by the author Keith Gouveia. The contest was scheduled to end with this issue, but we have had so many great entries we are going to extend it a little while longer. Click on the link to see all the details.
We also have 7 short stories this time around, and the script for a play, which if anyone is interested in putting on in public, contact me here at Camp Horror, and I will forward the information on to the author. For all of you budding writers out there, submissions are open; click on the link on the welcome page for details. This leads me to some big news here at Camp Horror…
Because YOU demanded it (that would be a mister Frank You from Bismarck North
Dakota), and because no one here has anything better to do with his or her
lives, with the next issue, Camp Horror goes bimonthly. Yes, you read that
right. Bimonthly. The next issue will be out on or about April 1st and no,
that is not some April Fool’s Day joke.
Well, I've taken up enough of your time here-you have quite a bit ahead of
you to look over. Have fun and I hope you enjoy the changes here at The New
Camp Horror. I would love to get your feedback, good or bad, and I welcome
any suggestions to make this a place you not only tell your friends and family
about, but also come back to again and again. Send your emails to letterstocamp@aol.com,
and we may just put the best ones (pro or con) up in a letters page next issue.
Talk to you soon, and again, whither this is your first visit, or you have been here many times before-welcome to the Camp-enjoy!

This issue is dedicated with love and respect to one of the greatest names in television that just recently passed away-Bob Keeshan, otherwise known as Captain Kangaroo. He brought a lot of joy for several decades to children growing up. While not know as a horror figure, if you don’t see something scary in a guy dancing around in a bear suit and a talking moose with a fetish for knock-knock jokes and dropping ping-pong balls-let me know.
